The Beauty Is in the Details.
An obsession with the things you might never notice.
CRAFT
There is a world of difference between a beautiful piece of jewellery that has been handcrafted with attention to detail, and one thats simply been created for mass production.
Often, it's the smallest details that make it special, the ones few see but mean the world to those who wear the jewellery. Every Gemima jewel experinces the most intricate craftmenship and multiple eyes of scrutiny before being unboxed with the client.
THE GEM CODE
Over a decade of private commissions has taught us a thing or two about making jewellery beautifully. Along the way, we've developed a set of rather particular standards. Some are technical, others entirely aesthetic, but all have one thing in common: they make a difference to how a jewel looks, feels and lasts.
-
A diamond should sit beautifully against the skin, never too high, never lost in its setting. Every measurement is considered in relation to the stone and the woman wearing it.
-
Delicate, refined and rather important. From our signature talon claws to compass settings, every claw is shaped to secure the diamond without stealing the show.
-
We have a particular affection for fully rounded wire bands, skinny, soft between the fingers and ideally encrusted with diamonds.
-
An engagement ring shouldn't have to compete with its wedding band. Our wed-fit designs consider how the rings will sit together long before either is made.
-
A hidden birthstone, a meaningful engraving or a detail known only to the wearer. Some of our favourite parts of a commission are the ones nobody else will ever see.
